Massive shout out to the sex positivity and lack of shame in this book. Even with a formally straight character coming to understand his own queerness, there was no dwelling on the negative and shame. I know all stories can’t be like this but it is reflective of my life currently and what I enjoy reading.

Holy fuck this was hot – I pretty much read it in one sitting! I’m pretty new to reading smut, so I’m still working out what works for me. I’m also not a big romance reader and I sometimes find when the book falls too on the romance side of smut, I get bored and think ‘gimme more suckin’n’fuckin’!

This is a beautiful story of two men discovering themselves in different ways.

Whilst it contains some incredibly hot, steamy sex scenes, it wasn’t the main focus for me. I was definitely more interested in the plot of this romance.

As a gay male, I found myself identifying with the main character at times, understanding where the POV was coming from. I often find that M/M romance (especially those with sex scenes) tends to be an exaggerated version of what people expect. This had the right balance, where it felt more real.
