Since I’m publishing my own novel soon, I should highlight others too! Here are some spicy MM romance books that I think you should read / listen to.

Philippe Besson – Lie With Me

For those that dismiss erotic writing because they think there are only a finite number of ways to write about sex and sexuality, I recommend this book. The raw and transformative way it writes about the attraction, longing and pain of sex is joyous and agonising to read.

This is where the book is strongest. I found it less powerful in other places, but this is an economical and punch packing account that is well worth reading.

Alexis Hall – Boyfriend Material

Over 130,000 ratings on Goodreads and it’s still regarded as 4+ points, so fair play to Alexis Hall for pleasing the crowds with a really nice read.

The story features two very different yet needy young men, who have a huge capacity for love but have never found the other half to make them whole.

Special Delivery – Arnold Miles

As one Goodreads review says:

At the end of the day this is a VERY steamy book, packed full of hot sex- and just enough heart. If you’re looking for some M/M spice, then this is the book to go with!

Him – Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy

Super super smutty. Check it out.
